The first supercross held in Seattle was on February 18, 1978 in the historic Kingdome.  Last night’s race was the 28th year Seattle has hosted a round of the AMA Supercross Championship.  The Kingdome was demolished in 2000 and replaced with the Qwest Field open-air stadium.  With the words “Seattle” and “rain” practically synonymous, every year all eyes are on the weather leading up to the event.  The forecast predicted a 50% chance of a major mudder, so the track was covered in plastic after being built.  The rain did come, causing practice to be delayed, and qualifying to be condensed into one session rather than two.  Thankfully the rain stopped before the racing started, and 51,442 fans were able to see some

Who are you?

I'm a 17 year old kid that lives in the rain shadow of western Washington and dedicates his life to professional flat track.

What do you do?

I race and work on race bikes and go to high school.

Where do you do it?

All across the United States. When I’m not in a different state, I race locally in Washington.

When do you do it?

As much as possible. I pretty much have a race every weekend and I love to ride at my home track whenever the weather lets me.

Why do you do it?

I do it because I love it a

Who are you?

My name is Elliott Banks-Browne; I am 20 years old and am a professional motocross racer from England.

What do you do?

I race dirt scooters around a bumpy, jumpy, dirty circuit and try to be the first one to the finish every time.

Where do you do it?

In the UK and all over the world. I have raced in Japan, South Africa and many other countries, which is pretty cool.

When do you do it?

I race pretty much every weekend from March till October. Then I have a little time off before I start practicing and testing again in November.

Chris ‘Teach’ McNeil gives you the inside scoop from Round 2 of the XDL Sportbike Freestyle Championship in Lake Havasu, Arizona.

By Chris McNeil

Heading into the 2nd round of the XDL National Championship Series, all my hopes at a title were resting on a solid finish in Havasu since I had already used my bye run at the first round in Daytona. Practice for me leading up to the event was non-existent due to setup time on my new 2010 BMW S1000RR. I managed to get the bike setup for freestyle just in time to head down to AZ a few days early for a show at Iron Horse BMW – my first time riding the bike in anything other than stock street trim. Between the show and the qualifying round at Havasu, I managed to get about 5 hour

The Edward Jones Dome in St. Louis, Mo. was host to round 14 of the AMA Supercross Championship. The first race held at the venue was in 1996, and was won by Jeff Emig. Emig, a Missouri native, is now the color announcer for the SPEED and CBS supercross broadcasts. Another bit of trivia, the last supercross race won by Ricky Carmichael before venturing into NASCAR was St. Louis. Justin Brayton won his first premier class heat race, giving the rookie an opportunity to be interviewed on the podium in front of 59,882 fans, and the CBS television crew. Michael Byrne also transferred directly to the main event from his heat race. In the main event the Muscle Milk/Toyota/JGRMX teammates started the race mid pack and followed one another forward. The friendly rivals battled with
