Mid-Ohio Raceway in Lexington, OH was the site for Round 6 of the AMA Road Racing Championship.
The weekend was full of ups and downs for Josh Herrin who claimed an exciting victory in race 1 of the Daytona Sportbike class, but suffered a heavy crash in race 2. Herrin showed the heart of a champion by restarting his bike (which had just flipped violently through the air and was missing the left handlebar) and going on to claim a 19th place finish. Josh earned 2 points for his efforts in the second race and now leads the championship by those same 2 points.
In the SuperSport class, Joey Pascarella put in a measured ride to 6th, which gave him enough points to clinch the West Division Championship.
